I'm installing an elevator call button in an existing 2-hour elevator shaft wall and want to maintain the 2-hour fire rating. Wondering if I can use the putty pad to maintain the fire rating. If so, is there an approved UL-listed system for the CP 617 Firestop Putty Pad ?
Hello, many times CP 617 Putty Pads can be used on elevator call boxes, however it will be determined by your onsite construction, and will require an Engineering Judgement (EJ). Please see below on how to submit an EJ request.
