Bolt hole size (dh) in galvanized steel member for Kwik bolt TZ
What should be the Pre-drilled hole size ("dh") for hot dip galvanized steel angle when using 1/2 diameter Kwik Bolt TZ2.
Should it be slightly larger than 9/16 specified in ESR 4266 table 1 ?

Hi Rolando,
Thank you for reaching out. Per ESR-4266 Table 1, the published fixture hole diameter for a ½” KB-TZ2 is 9/16”. In general, we would not recommend deviating outside of the published values in ESR-4266. Ultimately, all design decisions (including anchor selection) are at the discretion of the Engineer of Record (EOR) on the project.

Again. Thank you for the prompt feedback.
Wonder if future ESR and related technical documentation could include a statement and/or table notes that the tabulated bolt holes (dh) also apply to hot dip galvanized steel elements.
