Best PAF fasteners to anchor 2x lumber to structural steel

For attaching lumber to steel, you may consider using the X-U or X-DS fasteners. For more guidance on fastener selection, please reference Section 3.2.2.4 of the Direct Fastening Technical Guide.

It looks like X-U 47 are recommended to attach 2x lumber to steel up to 3/8" thick. I plan to attach to steel that is 7/16". Will this still work, or what do you recommend?
