Attaching 2X4 to 5/8' steel Ibeam
Is it possible to attach with PAT 2x4 to 5/8" steel I beam only see data for up to 1/2" Steel what load and fastener to use?

Hi Dave,
Direct fastening options can be found in this selection chart from the Direct Fastening Technical Guide. Additionally, power-actuated options into steel 3/4" and thicker can be found on page 35. If the exact thickness of steel is not listed, taking the lower capacity of the neighboring steel thicknesses may be done for a conservative evaluation.
Ultimately, all design decisions are at the discretion of the Engineer of Record (EOR) on the project.
