Building Inspector,we are dealing with a post-installed project. a new column should be planted to the existing foundation. if i am using the development length provision of the aci code i need to specify my post installed bar be embedded the length per aci code is that correct? what will be development length for a 28 mm rebar that be plant using hilti hy200r? (db=28mm fy=400mpa

Hi Terry,

Each Hilti product is going to have its own unique capacity limits as well as installation parameters. It may be possible to use Hilti power-actuated fasteners for your application depending on the applied loads and concrete conditions. Technical information can be found in the Hilti Direct Fastening Technical Guide. A fastener selection chart begins on page 26. Allowable loads into concrete for power-actuated fasteners can be found on page 31. Info on fastening into concrete starts on page 19.
