Are Deformed Adhesive Anchors Still Acceptable?
I have a pipe anchor using HIT-HY 200 epoxy adhesive with 1" all-thread anchor rod. The anchor was overloaded for a short time (<1hr) and the base plate lifted approximately 1/8". Obviously this caused some sort of deformation of the anchor rods. I'm not sure if the steel elongated or the epoxy started to pull out. Either way, can I still count on the anchors for any sort of capacity, or should I consider them completely null now?

Hi Kaylyn,
If an anchor was overloaded and there is visible damage and deformation, then it would be best to assume anchor failure at that point. Ultimately, it will be up to the engineer of record on the project to decide whether or not the anchors are still usable.
