Greetings.
I have a question. In my memory, I recall that all post installed anchors have to be installed according manufacturer instructions. I also recall that it was stated somewhere in the IBC, ACI-318, or possibly even the specific ESR reports for the various anchors. But I can't find it.
So will you please refresh my memory; is it required by code that the post installed anchors (specifically the adhesive versions) must be installed by a qualified installer trainedy by HILTI? If it is, where specifically does it say that and is it referenced in ACI or IBC?

Hi Aaron,
All anchors should be installed per the manufacturers printed installation instructions and this can be found within the respective ESR for the specific anchor that you are installing.
In regards to installer training, this will dependent upon the project requirements and/or the location of the project itself. Certain requirements can vary from ACI adhesive anchor installer training requirements, which are not manufacturer specific, to manufacturer specific adhesive anchor installation training.
