Anchor too close to the edge of the anchor plate check.

Anchor too close to the edge of the anchor plate check.

Using Hilti PROFIS Engineering tool, we were checking some baseplate/ anchor bolt layouts and the program was giving us an error saying that the anchors "are too close to the edge of the anchor plate (min = ...)". We know the plate dimensions and anchor spacing affect this check, but we were wondering what specific equation or standards were referenced to calculate this check. Any insight regarding this would be helpful.

Hi Hunter,

PROFIS Engineering classifies the minimum edge distance of an anchor to the edge of the steel plate it is fastening down through the “Anchor Plate Factor,” per AISI S100. For more information, please see this AskHilti response.
