Anchor recommendation

Anchor recommendation

I have a 48 X 48 X 1.25 thick plate that is being used as a base for a robot pedestal weldment.

The plate has (12) 1.0625" holes in it for anchoring into 6" thick 3000 PSI concrete.

The maximum loads were based on the moments and forces listed in the FANUC M-410iC/185 manual.

The maximum axial (pullout) load that will be seen is 7626.6 lbf.

What anchors would be acceptable solution for this application? I have attached images of the pedestal for reference.

Hilti Verified

Hi Brandon,

Unfortunately, Hilti cannot provide anchor design services. For anchor product selection help, please see Hilti's Anchor Fastening Technical Guide here. There is an anchor selector chart on pages 4-7 for a quick comparison of Hilti's anchor portfolio. Commonly used adhesive anchors are the HIT-HY 200 V3 and HIT-RE 500 V3. Commonly used mechanical anchors are the KH-EZ screw anchor and KB-TZ2 wedge anchor.

Additionally, Hilti has a free anchor design software called PROFIS Engineering. You can find more information and register for PROFIS Engineering here.

Ultimately, it will be up to the engineer on the project to provide anchor selection and capacity/design information.

Regards,
Dani
