Anchor plate at corner parapet condition - edge distance

Hi,

I’m looking at an anchor condition at the corner of a parapet which has Kwik bolts connected to a welded plate. I was wondering how I should be taking my edge distance when doing calculations. I'm looking at one side of the corner at a time. Attached are my two interpretations, are either of these correct? The wind load is perpendicular to the axis of the bolts towards the edge.

Christopher,

For the analysis of the edge distance considerations, a good reference would be the following similar question: https://ask.hilti.com/questions/edge-distance-for-adjacent-channel-anchors/arwsnk. Although the question is mainly focused on Anchor Channel, the methodology can still be considered for post-installed anchor systems.

If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact us.
