Anchor depth and adhesive

Good morning. we are using one box of “Anchor rod HAS-E-55 3/4"x8" #2197983”. How many of the HIT-HY 200 are required? We are drilling 6 ½”into an 8” concrete floor. Do you have a recommended depth for ¾” anchors into an 8” floor? Is 6 ½” too much?
Thank you.

Hi John,

For assistance with volume calculations, Hilti has an adhesive volume calculator app which can be used to estimate the amount of adhesive needed for specific applications. Information on this calculator can be found here on Hilti's website.

If following anchoring-to-concrete provisions, Hilti has performed testing with 3/4" threaded rods and HIT-HY 200 V3 for embedment depths ranging from 3 1/2" to 15". Minimum installation requirements for HIT-HY 200 V3 may be found on page 57 of the Anchor Fastening Technical Guide.

For additional assistance, please reach out to hnatechnicalservices@hilti.com or give us a call at 877-749-6337.

Regards,
Matthew
