Affect of steel filament additive on epoxy bond
Contractor is proposing the use of steel filament additives to concrete mix design of paving slabs where HY-200 will be used for anchorage of base plates. Has Hilti done any research regarding any load capacity reduction (if any) where steel filament additive is used?

Hi John,
Unfortunately, Hilti has not performed testing on a concrete slab that has steel filament additive present. Engineering judgement could be considered along with on site testing to account for variability in performance.
