Adhesive anchors too close to edge

Adhesive anchors too close to edge

Hello I'm designing Hilti adhesive anchor HIT-RE 500 V3 and getting a message that "The anchors are too close to the edge of the bae material. The anchor distance to base material edges (y) can be reduced to a minimum value of 1.75 in if the installation torque is reduced. Check the box corresponding to reduced installation torque in the Anchor Layout tab to proceed."

If I check the "Reduced the Installation Torque" box, how do I cover this on my drawings? Do I simply add a note saying "Use reduced installation torque" or something on my drawing?

Hi Dennis,

You may consider calculating the value of the reduced torque for the HIT-RE 500 V3 and including that in your specifications. This will help ensure that the anchor is installed using the reduced torque per your design in PROFIS Engineering. Reduced installation torque guidelines can be found on page 122.

Regards,
Ashley
