I have a project condition in which I am specifying HIT-RE 500 V3 + threaded rod anchors to be installed into precast post-tensioned concrete panels. Given the layout, some of the anchors may need to be installed at grouted joint locations between the panels. The precast engineer has indicated that there will be an average compressive stress of 50 psi at these joints due to the post-tensioning system pulling the panels together and recommended designing the anchorage using the "cracked concrete" assumption with no other changes. Does this sound like an appropriate approach for this application?
Hi Eric,
Hilti does not have any testing for HIT-RE 500 V3 installed into grout. The final decision to use an anchoring system outside of the scope of Hilti's testing is up to the discretion of the Engineer of Record's engineering judgement and/or on-site testing.

Ashley
