The contractor employs the HIT HY 200-R injectable hybrid mortar for securing a steel ledger to an existing brick wall. Although your specifications indicate its suitability for use with concrete as the fastening base material, can this product also be utilized when the fastening base material is brick? If so, what is the capacity of shear and pullout for 1/2" threaded rod w/washer and nut embeded 6" to the brick?

HIT-HY 200 V3 does not have testing or approvals for use in brick base materials. For anchorages into brick, you could consider the HIT-HY 270 which is approved for masonry base materials.
