I'm looking for a 2-hour rated closure joint detail for a GWB and wood stud wall terminating against faced insulation at a pre-engineered metal building roof. All I can find is a 1 hour tested assembly CJ-D-0032 that uses metal studs for closure. The wood stud wall is framed up currently, but is about 8" short of the insulation. Can I use the detail as a modified design solution by adding an additional layer of 5/8" Type "X" GWB and switching to metal studs framing at the closure?

Unfortunately we do not have a UL System that shows this condition, but we can create an Engineering Judgment that will reflect this for you. I've attached information on how to submit for a request below.
