I am looking for a 2-hour rating system with F, T and L ratings for a concrete over metal deck floor system with a 3-1/2" slab over 3" deck. I see that there is a system ( ULSystem No. FF-D-0097) that works for a 4-1/2" slab. Has this system been tested for concrete over metal deck or would this turn into an Engineering judgement needed to validate that the system would work?
Hi Ryan, this would be an engineering judgement (EJ) as all of our Floor to Floor joints will require at least 4 1/2" concrete floor and we would consider your concrete over metal deck as 3 1/2" (if you have a pour stop we can add this to the EJ as well). Please see below how to submit an EJ.
