Firestop system testing

Our in-house lab conducts firestop testing in accordance with ASTM E814 / UL 1479 for through-penetration firestop systems and ASTM E1966 / UL 2079 for construction-joint firestop systems. That means you can trust the F-rating and T-rating for each Hilti firestop system assembly. Optional tests are also frequently conducted to determine air leakage ratings (L-rating])and water leakage ratings (W-rating) of a firestop system assembly to help ensure they meet your requirements.

Hilti has a range of innovative solutions to address firestop applications in mass timber construction. Offering both traditional firestop solutions that can be installed on-site as well as pre-formed firestop solutions that can be pre-installed in the mass timber element prior to arriving on-site.
Recent advancements in firestop testing and listings give the design community more tools to address through penetrations and joints in projects involving mass timber. Hilti continues to be a leader in the life safety industry and was the first to have listed firestop systems with UL and Intertek for through penetrations, joints, and edge of slab applications in mass timber.
