Hello, I used the ASD design method to determine the capacity of a KWIK-HUS-EZ screw anchor in front of a grout-filled CMU wall. When comparing the tension capacity of the anchor determined by Profis to the allowable tension load of the same anchor taken from Table 30 of the Anchor Fastening Technical Guide Edition 22, it is ...

I have a very old existing building. The exterior walls are load-bearing clay brick walls. I suspect the bricks are solid clay. I need to add a new steel beam to support a point load. Can you recommend an anchor that can transfer the reaction through shear into the brick wall? The unfactored DL + LL is 5.25k (7.5k factore...

We have a joist-to-joist connection with a 3/8-inch top continuity tie plate welded to the top chord of an open web bar joist. The joist top chord thickness is 1/4 inch. Metal deck will be attached at this location. Because the 3/8-inch continuity plate is welded to the joist top chord, our intent is for the deck fastener to a...

Hello, Please see attached and let me know your thoughts about concrete bearing used. ecrit>e and I think max concrete bearing shall be used. Also, I wanted to attached the file but I could not. Thank you, Arash

I understand that it is not permissible to remove and reinstall a KH-EZ screw anchor. It is acceptable to remove a KH-EZ anchor and install an epoxy anchor of the same diameter into that hole? Or does the new epoxy anchor have to be a larger diameter?

We have had some issues with fitting Hilti bits through pilot hole in our base plates, and would like to know the maximum diameter of the bits vs nominal size, to make sure our plates are produced with the proper diameter tolerances to prevent interferences that require attention on-site.

I attended ANC101 and received an email with a link for the quiz but get a 401 error. I did so before and after logging in but no access.

Typical built up roof design needing A perimeter firecontainment system, roof is 1 hour rated with spray applied fireproofing

what is the system you recommend for installing anchor bolts into concrete - post concrete install. no edge or depth limitations and no special conditions

We have a some structural steel on a project that got sprayed with an unapproved primer. We need to have a 2hr fire rating so we will be using the fire finish 120+CFP-SP. The primer that was installed that is not on your list is Stiles -Prime tech 7-555. Attached is the specs and the msds sheets. Do we need to remove the pri...
