What's the effect on mechanical anchor capacity by using epoxy/dowel nearby?

Does capacity of mechanical anchor (from concrete failure) get affected if there is epoxy/dowel bar is also used nearby (let's say 6 away)? If yes, to what extent? how to evaluate the reduced capacity? Thank you

Can the uploaded system be used with CMU wall instead of a concrete wall?

I am looking for the detail as to how the shaft liners will be terminated at a CMU wall.

Intumescent coating type in Plenum space of semi-conductor clean room

I am looking for a appropriate intumescent coating (2 hr) types for the plenum space of semi-conductor clean room, and roof structure (trusses) above the plenum. The plenum has more than 20 CFM/CF/minute air flow with temperature/humidity controled. And the roof structure space do not have controled temperature/humidity. It's...

Do you have a 2hr fire rated UL approved firestop system for a floor drain w/a cast iron body penetration through an existing concrete filled metal deck?

In a school restroom remodel, we're going to demo through an existing 2hr rated concrete filled metal deck to install a Zurn Z415N floor drain, see attachment. DSA will require us to provide a firestop solution.

loading away from edge

Hi, I have a ledge angle that is anchored to the top of a concrete curb. The edge distance for the anchors are 4 from edge; however, my loading is always downwards, and never upwards towards the edge. My question is can I turn off load reversal for shear in Profis for my condition?

Adhesive Anchors at Precast Post-Tensioned Panel Joints

I have a project condition in which I am specifying HIT-RE 500 V3 + threaded rod anchors to be installed into precast post-tensioned concrete panels. Given the layout, some of the anchors may need to be installed at grouted joint locations between the panels. The precast engineer has indicated that there will be an average com...

Hilti Profis Engineering - Cantilevered baseplate

I am trying to analyze a storefront anchor connection where the anchor plate cantilevers off the edge of the curb. I am trying to model that in Profis but I get an error that says the entire anchor plate must be on the base material. Is there a way to analyze a cantilevered condition? Thanks,
