I have a 2 hour fire barrier wall constructed of wood studs with (2) layers of 5/8 type X gypsum board on each side. We have an existing wood beam that penetrates this 2 hour fire barrier wall. Does Hilti have a fire stop detail or product for this application? If not, could an engineering judgement be made for this particu...

What fasteners can be used to fasten 1/4 inch steel plate to top flange of wide flange beam (flange thickness 0.21 inch to 0.335 inch range). Interior application. Fastener must not be galvanized/zinc coated.

I attended today's Roof Deck Connections and The Factors that Affect Performance webinar this afternoon and received a follow up email. Despite offering a PDH hour (after successful completion of a quiz), there is no information in the email about how to access the quiz. The Engineering Center and Training Courses on your we...

I attend today's webinar Roof Deck Connections & The Factors That Affect Performance (DCK101) - Webinar and didn't receive the certificate.

A forbidden symbol appears on the cursor as I try to create a Report for this design configuration.

How do i download my certificate for the webinar that just concluded?

What is the best type of anchors (adhesive or mechanical) to use to secure mechanical rooftop equipment to a concrete slab on metal deck where dynamic loads like wind will be present.

Per the images, the client is looking to seal penetrations. Would they be under code if each penetration is just stuffed with mineral wool and sprayed with CFS-SP-WB and fire caulk with CP 606? What would be the UL approachable to this fix?

In particular, I am looking for a HW detail that accommodates max. movement of 2 up or 2 downward, similar to UL XHBO.CJ-D-0032 by 3M.

Hello, I received a plan check with the comments that PAF, shot pins are not allowed for the shear wall track connections. Can you recommend any approved anchor options? I am considering using KH-EZ, but not sure if this is applicable over 3 concrete on a metal deck. Please advise.
