looking to epoxy 1" stainless steel threaded rod into existing concrete deadman to hold back a seawall

With the base material of aerated concrete, what will be considered? " Recommended loads", "Design resistance" or "Characteristic resistance"?

We are designing a connection with a series of anchors spaced equally. If the spacing is big enough, anchors will act as a single anchor as per ACI spacing requirements. However, if the spacing is less, anchors will now act as a group. what if the anchors have different shear loads. We are using HILTI PES, is there a possibili...

When transferring RISA Connection design to Hilti Profis moments are increased by a factor of 12. What is causing this?

Hello ,what type of hilti anchors that can be used with grout ? and can the expansion wedge anchor used or not ?

Is there an adhesive anchor suitable for 2000psi Concrete? Most seem to start at 2500psi

I am working on a bracket (not an angle bracket) which has 4 anchor bolts attached to concrete wall and is under out of plane loading. I used ledger angle profile to simulate that (I am not worried about the strength of bracket). My question is how does hilti calculate the resultant anchor tension loads because of eccentric lo...

What X-U Pins to Use in a Post-tension slab

I'd like to check the capacity of an existing anchor for a structural building modification. It's a 1/2" dia. HIT-A w/ HY20 adhesive and screen tube with 2" embedment in hollow CMU. Does Hilti have historical data somewhere that engineers can access to find capacities for anchors that are no longer available to check with Pr...

Hello, looking through these reports, there is a reduction factor "fred,s=0.440"(page 5), but the tech sheets have the smallest reduction factor for spacing as "0.5" (technical guide 19, page 221, downloaded 3/08/2022). Why is profis giving a larger reduction?
