Is a continuous firestop sealant required at the intersection of a rated wall and floor assembly?

Hello there, I have a question regarding the requirement for a continuous firestop. This is a two story apartment building of wood construction, Type V-A. The demising wall between units is 1 hour. The floor assembly is 1 hour.
Is the firestop sealant required as indicated in the attached details? Does the fire resistance rated assembly of the wall and floor maintain the rating continuity?
Your assistance is much appreciated.
Thank you,
Ashana

Hello,

With respects to sealing the joints of the wall to the top ceiling and bottom sub flooring of the floor/ceiling joints, firestop material can be applied in these joints/areas to extend the rating of the wall to the floor/ceiling assembly. If you would like this detail please go to www.hilti.com/ej and we can officially provide one.

With respects to compartmentalizing within the joist bay of the floor/ceiling, traditionally the entirety of the wall would need to be takin to the bottom of the subflooring within the joist bay of the floor/ceiling assembly but this is a design aspect of the assemblies. This question will ultimately need to be posed to the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) as a firestop manufacturer cannot prescribe how to buuld/compartmentalize buildings/assemblies.
