Hilti Accredited Firestop Specialty Contractor (HAFSC) Program

At Hilti, we believe in helping to save lives through innovation and education. In 1998, Hilti created the Hilti Accredited Firestop Specialty Contractor (HAFSC) Program to partner with contractors that specialize in the correct installation of firestop systems. Through this program, Firestop Specialty Contractors receive opportunities for accreditation, education, industry wide updates, access to industry professionals, and quicker completion times on Engineering Judgments. They shall take all reasonable steps to ensure Hilti products are installed correctly, professionally and in accordance with the Hilti UL Listing, Intertek, Factory Mutual, FM, QAI or Engineering Judgment drawing for the specified application.

There are currently over 150 companies in our HAFSC Program that have completed the accreditation requirements. These requirements include, but are not limited to, a signed HAFSC agreement, training certificates for both management and field personnel, appointment of Key Responsible Contact (KRC), passing the Hilti KRC Fire Protection Exam and completed jobsite audits on file with Hilti each year.

Why use HAFSC on the jobsite?
