The industry’s first firestop solution for 8" and 10" pipe
Plano, Texas – July 17, 2017 — Hilti is making fire protection easier with the introduction of the new firestop cast-in devices CFS CID — the first and only cast-in devices for 8" and 10" pipes for water drainage and large pipe applications. These new one-step firestop solutions work with 8" PVC, metal pipes with insulation, as well as 8" and 10" metal pipes — no additional sealing is required. Hilti CFS CID firestop devices are available in 6", 8", 10", 12" and 14" heights.
Unlike traditional methods, Hilti’s CFS-CID 8" and 10" devices require only one laborer for installation, increasing job site productivity and reducing labor costs. The cast-in devices are ready to use right out of the package and installation process is simple, which helps lessen the chance of project delays caused by failed inspections.
Hilti CFS-CID 8" and 10" firestop cast-in devices are suited for new building construction, work with PVC, metal and metal with insulation pipes, and they do not have an expiration date (no shelf life).
